Our members have diverse interests.  There’s a lot of people doing different things, from the martial arts to arts and sciences.  See what’s going on and how you can join in on the fun!

Fighting

Heavy list fighting has always been active within the Shire.  Fighters meet every Sunday at Underhill ID Elementary School from 2-5pm.  During the warmer months, there’s a mid-week practice in Milton.  Our fighters are also active around the East Kingdom.  You will see them at various events and practices in other areas.  Click here to learn more.

Fencing

Our fencing practices are constantly growing in the Shire.  Fencers meet every Sunday at Underhill ID Elementary School from 2-5pm.  During the warmer months, there’s a mid-week practice in Burlington at Smalley Park from 5:30-7:30pm.  Our fencers are organized into a company.  The Freehold Freebooters are a band of privateers that are active around the East Kingdom.  You will see them at various events and practices in other areas.  Anyone in the Shire may play or camp with the Freebooters, as they seek to include fencers and non-fencers alike.  Click here to learn more.

Archery

Archery is enjoyed by our members in the warm months.  Archers meet at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center at 4pm on Thursdays.  Click here to learn more.

Arts & Sciences

Arts & Sciences are enjoyed by many people within the Shire.  They are the crafts, skills, and technologies from the time period and cultures that the SCA covers.  The SCA is full of people who love learning, and so is this shire!  Every second Sunday of the month, we meet at Underhill ID Elementary School at 1pm before fighting practice starts.  Each month, there is a different class or activity that is announced prior to the meeting.  At most of our events, there will be some A&S classes and maybe a competition as well.  Click here to learn more about A&S activities.
