• The Shire Heavy List Championship will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, from 2:30-5:30 pm in Winooski VT.  The location is the Combat Fitness MMA Center, at 276 E Allen St (aka Route 15), behind the Shell Station that’s near exit 15 of I-89. Come test your mettle for the Shire of Mountain Freehold’s Heavy Championship! We will be doing our classic bear pit to find the 2 top fighters of our shire, then they will choose teams to see who is the best melee commander. All are welcome to come and fight.   • Notes from our Sept. 25, 2025 Business Meeting are now available on our “Archive of Meeting Notes” index page, along with notes from earlier meetings and moots.  
  • Sunday afternoon gatherings and practices are held at the Browns River Middle School, 20 River Road, in Jericho. (Cancellations will be posted to the Facebook group and the email list.) Heavy list practice will run from 2-5 unless it’s posted otherwise.  Fencing practice runs concurrently, with Youth Fencing from 2-3 and adults afterwards. A&S folk, and general spectators, are welcome to attend and schmooze on the sidelines, or in a separate room nearby. The entrance door varies, so try them all. We are required to protect the gym floor by bringing a pair of “inside” shoes with non-marking soles. – Please watch Facebook or Discord to get any updates about cancellations or special activities.
